Urban Splash Newsplash - March 2026
Welcome to our March 2026 edition of the Newsplash – a round up of all things Urban Splash.
From Sheffield’s Cole Brothers hosting 500 students at the new FORM careers fair, to a BRIT Awards art trail at New Islington, to community-driven spaces from Trident Gyms.
We also talked to the press about our vision for Swansea and we completed 9,000 sq ft of new workspace deals – including RYDE’s bicycle café in Liverpool too!

306 new homes for Milton Keynes
Working with the Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) and our joint venture partners Glenbrook, we've secured planning permission for the first phase of development at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes. 306 new homes will now be created as part of our plans tocreate a real, 21st Century community adjacent to the 100 acre public park and the Grand Union Canal.

Tackling the skills shortage with a fresh take on careers fairs
From the Crossed Wires podcast festival with BBC Sounds to a Christmas party with Jarvis Cocker, our Cole Brothers building in Sheffield has hosted some memorable events. This month, we welcomed FORM, a new, one-day careers fair from Peter & Paul which saw 500 college and university students and graduates learn about pathways into architecture, construction, engineering, planning, project management, design, and the trades.

Making music in Manchester
Urban Splash has a proud history of supporting music and the arts, with past tenants including 808 State, Simply Red, and the Manchester Jazz Festival. New Islington’s added to that legacy in recent weeks with a new series of murals added to the New Islington Marina as part of a citywide art trail celebrating the 2026 BRIT Awards. Curated by renowned Manchester artist Stanley Chow and produced by Wild in Art, the trail features works by Rick Hyde, Clare Birtwistle, Kim Thompson, and David Bailey.

Redefining modern training space: meet Trident Gyms
Trident Gyms operates out of the Matchbox building at our Matchworks site in South Liverpool, from which it is "redefining the modern training space” combining premium 24/7 facilities with a vibrant, community-driven atmosphere. In this new article, we meet Trident owner Craig who talks about his gym’s impact on the Matchworks community.

Swansea is very much “in vogue”
Our Development Director, David Warburton spoke to journalists in Wales this month sharing more on our vision for Swansea – with a particular focus on the Civic Centre. The resulting press highlighted the building’s "superb location overlooking Swansea beach" and the "many possibilities” ahead, as well as the wider opportunity across the city

9,000 sq ft of new commercial deals
