This month, we're returning to Park Hill in Sheffield, where, alongside our partners Places for People, we're launching brand new homes for sale on 29 February. You can also read the thoughts of our architect Mikhail Riches, on the work involved in creating 195 new homes. We're also launching more Town Houses at Port Loop in Birmingham on 15 February, with each home configurable by our customers. In Bristol and Manchester, we're hosting Help to Buy mortgage workshops this week at Copper Building and New Islington, helping people who want to buy their own home with as little as a 5% deposit. We've also completed our refurbishment of Beehive Mill in Manchester, where we've created modern workspaces fit for the 21st Century. Read on to find out more.

The views of Park Hill’s Stirling Prize winning architects
Architects Mikhail Riches are super proud to be creating the new homes at Park Hill and in this new blog, founding director Annalie Riches tells us about winning the design brief for the development following a creative six-way pitch, as well as her ambitions to preserve and upgrade the original fabric of Park Hill.
Creating 21st Century workspaces in Manchester
We’ve now completed our transformation of Beehive Mill in Ancoats, and to mark the occasion, architect Maurice Shapero - one of the city’s best, maverick designers - has blogged about redesigning the listed structure, musing over how a building made almost 200 years ago can still function so beautifully in a completely different age. The final remaining workspaces here are available now.
Help to Buy at New Islington and Lakeshore
Later this week we’ll be hosting two Help to Buy events, assisting customers who want to own their own home in Manchester or Bristol. On Thursday 6 February, our teams at New Islington in Manchester and Copper Building in Bristol will be joined by Independent Financial Advisers who’ll guide eligible Help to Buy customers on purchasing with a deposit of just 5%!
More awards — including huge recognition from Homes England
We’ve won three more awards this month - taking our total now to 427. This week, our House by Urban Splash was awarded the Homes England Chair’s Award for Excellence; the award recognised the significance of the £90m deal we signed last year with Sekisui House, and the change of pace that our business is bringing to the housebuilding sector. The deal also won NW Insider’s Deal of the Year too, while Royal William Yard won SW Insider’s placemaking award.
Setting our sights on new sites
Four new colleagues have joined our land team this year; head of planning Andrew Johnston, acquisitions manager Richard Dingle, bid manager Sam Thomas and Laurence Chipperton – acquisitions surveyor – all join our land director Katie Dean, helping us acquire new sites across the country. Their appointments have taken our headcount to more than 200 brilliant colleagues; want to join us? We’ve even more vacancies for talented and ambitious people here.
