Whether we are finding beauty where others see problems or delivering a future neighbourhood from scratch we think about our impact on the place and the city. Every change, from masterplans to minor details must be a change for the better.
Transforming places
Ever since our founders, Tom and Jonathan, unleashed their desire to transform the disused areas of Manchester and Liverpool in the early 1990s, we’ve been wedded to the idea of great regeneration.
In the 25 years since, our appetite to create great places for people to live, work and play in has grown; today, we’re creating large-scale neighbourhoods in cities all over the country. Places like New Islington in Manchester which, working alongside our partners Manchester City Council, Manchester Life and McCauls, we’ve transformed from a rundown community, into a thriving extension to the city centre. It’s a place brimming with homes, workspaces, amenities, a park, marina, OFSTED-outstanding school, a nursery, a deli bakery, a Metrolink stop and a health centre.
It’s one of many communities we’re working on right now.
Our track record
We’ve invested over a billion pounds in more than 60 regeneration projects as far south as Plymouth and as far north as, well, North Shields, creating over 5,000 new homes and 1.5 million sq ft of workspace. Take a look at some we made earlier.
