“I started out at Urban Splash almost 10 years ago now, interning at first in the Residential team in all roles from maintenance to tenancies, before shadowing our Residential Consultant, David Lewus at Park Hill in Sheffield. Working alongside David in all aspects of sales and rentals, from viewings to interacting with customers, made me want to pursue a similar role as I saw how positively he impacted our customers.

“Almost a decade later, my role involves overseeing our North West sales and rentals portfolio, which includes a range of homes from Irwell Riverside in Salford to Timber Wharf in Castlefield. My role spans a bit of everything – from helping to develop our sales and rentals strategies to working directly with customers.

“I’m fortunate that I get to work with colleagues from across the business, from coordinating customer move-ins within our Residential team to working alongside our Brand, Marketing and Comms team to promote our available homes. This level of collaboration goes a long way in making sure our new and existing customers have a smooth and positive experience with us.”

“I’ve seen first-hand the scale of change in such a short space of time in Ancoats and New Islington. Back when I first started with Urban Splash almost a decade ago, regeneration of the area was just beginning, and in such a short time I’ve witnessed it become the place to be with a thriving community.

“The sales and rentals market has also changed drastically in that time – more people each year are moving to the city centre and looking for homes, from apartments like those we have at 3Towers to three-storey homes in New Islington. I’m interested to see where this takes us as consultants and as a business in years to come, as the boundary of the city centre continues to expand and customer needs develop.”

“Over the last few years, I’ve also had the opportunity to work closely with the Urban Splash Residential Fund on our shared projects. This has helped me to develop my understanding of the investment side of residential property and how it connects to creating the best possible experience for customers, and we’ve built a strong relationship that I’m sure will continue to grow.

“I always say, in this role you’re constantly thinking on your feet. From organising viewings with customers, to negotiating deals and coordinating works, there’s always a lot going on. It’s all part of the fun though, and I’m lucky to say I genuinely enjoy my role.

“I’m looking forward to all we have coming up over the next few months as the Manchester property scene continues to grow and develop.”
