From a single brow product to a global beauty empire, founder and CEO, Warren Gavin, has transformed Global Beauty Products into one of the world leaders in brow and lash innovation.
Matchworks has been home to the business for much of that journey, with Warren first moving to our South Liverpool development over 14 years ago. We sat down with Warren to find out more about the Global Beauty Products journey, what’s next for the brand, and how Matchworks has been at the heart of it all.

Taking shape
“We started with just one product – an eyebrow powder that was both sweat and smudge-proof. It took 18 months of working tirelessly with chemists to perfect the formula and bring it to market. When it finally launched, it really took off – it even ended up in the kits of Hollywood makeup artists.
“That success gave us the confidence to expand. We moved into every eyebrow and eyelash service, from lash lifting and tinting to false lashes and eyelash glue. We also became early pioneers in brow lamination, launching the world’s first brow lamination products.”

Going global
“Fourteen years on from that first brow product, Global Beauty Products has grown into a global powerhouse. We now develop and manufacture over 600 brow and lash products, exporting to more than 40 countries, and in 2022 we were honoured to receive the Queen’s International Export Award – easily my proudest moment in the business so far.
“Even though the business has gone global, Matchworks is still our home. We started out with just 2,758 sq ft, with our footprint at Matchworks now totalling over 26,000 sq ft.
“Matchworks is where it all started, and it’s where we continue to innovate, create, and push the industry forward. Matchworks has seen us through every stage of our journey, from humble beginnings to taking the brow and lash world by storm.”

All under one roof
“Over the years, we’ve expanded our space at Matchworks, working closely with the Urban Splash team to adapt our space as our needs grew. Their support has been invaluable, always helping us find the perfect environment to bring our ideas to life.
“Our goal has always been to have everything under one roof: product development, manufacturing, fulfillment, and customer service. The variety and flexibility of workspace available to us at Matchworks has enabled us to do this, with our various operations a matter of steps away from one another, meaning our different teams are always together.
“We’ve spent the last 14 years building our dream into reality, and we’re truly only just getting started. We’ve got major developments in the pipeline, with Global Beauty Products poised to be bigger, bolder, and more innovative than ever before.”
