Visitors flock to Royal William Yard 200 Exhibition

Royal William Yard’s landmark 200 Exhibition ran last month, celebrating two centuries of Plymouth’s iconic Grade I listed military buildings. The free exhibition brought together original artefacts, historical documents, and personal stories, with many items displayed together for the first and only time. The exhibition coincided with news of a new retailer opening at the Yard too, as independent retailer Pebbles ladieswear opens in the Brewhouse Arcade.

        STRIKE at Lister Mills

A STRIKE-ing art projection in Bradford

Art took centre stage at Lister Mills in Bradford too, as local people gathered in early October for the STRIKE event – part of its status as the 2025 City of Culture. The stunning installation projected collages of slogans, placards, marches, trade unionists, and archive footage onto Lister Mills’ 249ft high chimney. It’s the latest in a three-decade-long tradition of art at Urban Splash places.
