Urban Splash expands team with Head of Commercial Lettings and six other new hires
Award-winning regeneration company Urban Splash has strengthened its national team with six new appointments across its commercial, residential, development, and IT teams – including the arrival of Richard Lace as Head of Commercial Lettings.
Richard is a well-known figure in the property market, having spent over a decade at OBI where he was involved in some of the region’s most high-profile transactions – including major deals with Hill Dickinson’s on an 18,000 sq ft lease, and a deal on 45,000 sq ft with Virgin Media O2. Prior to OBI, he held positions at GVA (now Avison Young).
Commenting on his new role, Richard said: “Urban Splash has always been one of the most progressive names in UK regeneration, with a track record of creating places that people and businesses genuinely want to be part of.
“I’m looking forward to supporting the business as it continues to invest in and reposition its commercial portfolio, ensuring our workspaces remain ahead of the curve and attractive to the next generation of occupiers.”

Nathan Cornish, Group Board Director at Urban Splash, added:
“Richard is hugely respected in the industry, and appointing someone of his calibre into our commercial business is another demonstration of our continued investment into our new commercial and already developed assets that we hold. With almost a million sq ft of space and another half a million on the way I think Richard’s going to be busy!”
Richard’s arrival comes alongside five other new appointments at Urban Splash including in its commercial team in Liverpool, where Kirsty Woo takes up the role of Customer Host. Grace Smith joins as, Residential Consultant, Rahma Sow as Maintenance and Compliance Coordinator, Rhys Richards joins as Development Assistant, while Anslem Shadenyi has been appointed as IT Support Engineer.

Nathan concluded: “We are entering a new era of development at Urban Splash, with exciting opportunities ahead – from new projects such as Festival Gardens in Liverpool and multiple sites across Swansea, to the final phases of landmark regeneration schemes like Park Hill in Sheffield.
“These appointments strengthen our ability to deliver each of these, all while continuing to look after the existing communities, homes, and workplaces that we have spent decades creating. Richard, Grace, Kirsty, Rahma, Rhys, and Anslem each bring fresh skills and energy as we build on our legacy while shaping the next generation of places.
