A striking and versatile cube
Located at the entrance to the Matchworks estate in South Liverpool, the striking, fully-glazed Matchbox building is currently home to Trident Gyms.
Designed by award-winning architects shedkm, Matchbox was originally created as Grade A office space, but its flexible floorplates have made it an ideal space for gym operators, combining contemporary design with practical versatility.

Trident Gyms has brought its award-winning approach to fitness to Matchbox, combining 24/7 access with a modern, fully-equipped training environment. The gym features dedicated floors for weights, plate-loaded machines, cardio, and functional training, alongside a sauna and cryotherapy chamber, ensuring members have everything they need to train, recover, and stay motivated under one roof.
More than just a gym, Trident is a community hub, fostering connection and support among its members, creating a vibrant space for both locals and Matchworks customers alike.

shedkm
shedkm work in a first floor studio in Bold Street, Liverpool - above Rennie's Art Shop. The space is open, informal and busy. We all sit at refectory tables with IT equipment in a central pod. Visitors are welcome, indeed encouraged, to look around. We like to think of our studio as a living advertisement for our skills and professionalism.
