Royal William Yard records 7,000 sq ft of lettings across three buildings - as destination reaches new milestone
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has reported a strong run of lettings activity across Royal William Yard in Plymouth, with new deals on 7,000 sq ft of space.
The vibrant waterfront destination continues to attract occupiers across retail, leisure and commercial uses with deals including the new Arcade at Brewhouse. The space was launched less than a year ago by Urban Splash and is now fully let and home to a collection of independent retailers, including The Tipple Cellar, Natural Source and the Pop-up Market; artist Sally Holt has also opened a dedicated studio within the building, adding to Royal William Yard's growing creative community.
In Mills Bakery, financial advisory firm Atomos has completed a new letting of 2,422 sq ft on a two-year term, while the South West Coast Path Association (SWCPA), the charity that cares for and champions the South West Coast Path National Trail, has taken 1,464 sq ft in Melville on a ten-year term – one of the longer commercial commitments at the Yard in recent years and a strong signal of confidence in the destination's continued growth. Julian Gray, Director, South West Coast Path Association, said: "We’re really excited to celebrate one of the world’s great trails which runs through RWY with the new Coast Path Centre.”

Richard Lace, Head of Commercial Lettings at Urban Splash, added: "Reaching full occupancy in Arcade is a significant milestone, but what's particularly encouraging is the demand we’re seeing across multiple buildings and sectors rather than from any one specific use. That diversity is important and reflects the strength of Royal William Yard as a commercial, leisure and cultural destination.
“Access to amenities, a strong community, high-quality surroundings and the ability to attract and retain talented people are increasingly important considerations, and Royal William Yard continues to perform strongly in those areas."
Further opportunities remain available across Royal William Yard spanning retail, leisure, food and beverage and commercial workspace, as Richard continued: “Opportunities remain across the estate. Our focus is on introducing occupiers and operators who complement the existing mix and can contribute to the long-term success and character of Royal William Yard.”
