Since joining Urban Splash in 2018, Ben has immersed himself in the financial and operational landscape of the business with a keen focus on performance management and financial leverage to drive results. As Finance Director for the development arm, Ben has been instrumental in successfully raising over £75m of development debt to help unlock numerous schemes across the country, all of which has been repaid in full.

With an attitude for continuous improvement, Ben aims to introduce robust financial systems, or refine those already in place, to drive day-to-day operational efficiency and engender effective decision making. A key example of this being the company’s Gateway Decision Process which measures prospective performance for each project in Urban Splash’s extensive pipeline against well-defined financial metrics, always ensuring adherence to the business’s rigorous ESG framework and specific targets identified therein for each project.

As a member of the Executive Board, Ben also has broader corporate level responsibilities to help compile and deliver Urban Splash's annual business plan on behalf of shareholders, supporting the company’s vision for sustainable growth and high-quality, lasting regeneration.

Ben is a chartered accountant and member of the ICAEW. Before Urban Splash he held various senior finance positions at AstraZeneca PLC. (AZ) having initially trained at PwC.
