New customisable Town Houses now on sale
We've launched the second phase of homes at Port Loop with our partners Places for People. Town House is customisable, meaning you create your 'Grand Design' using over 70 different layout options; there’s options of two-storey (1000 sq ft) or three-storey homes (1500 sq ft), which both include parking and garden space.
Circled by a kilometre of historic canal, Port Loop is a brand new community with an urban island at its heart. Two hundred years ago this was the epicentre of the industrial revolution. Now a different sort of revolution is transforming it once again.
Introducing Port Loop: an ambitious new 43-acre waterside neighbourhood, including over 1,000 homes, a community hub, commercial office spaces, a new leisure centre, a new swimming pool and central Birmingham’s first new public green spaces in over a decade. Over 1.5km of new tow paths will also help to make it part of a better connected city, with the centre of Birmingham just a 15-minute walk away. A place for couples, singletons, families and all generations, it’s a brand new neighbourhood, built from the ground up.
There’s a sense of freedom and play built into the fabric of Port Loop’s urban island design, with traffic-free green streets, communal gardens, public parks and playgrounds. This is a place to relax, get outdoors, get to know your neighbours and let children run free.
Homes are currently available at Port Loop for sale and to rent.
There’s shared ownership options, and the Government backed Help to Buy scheme is available meaning you only need a 5% deposit to buy. For example a home at £300,000 would need a £15,000 deposit. For further details, future phases, or anything at all contact our team on 0121 752 1111.

Homes to rent
Light, space and flowing water.
All our homes are designed with large windows to let in the light over two or three-storeys and to make the most of soothing views over water or green space. High ceilings and open layouts make them feel free-flowing and spacious. Welcome to a new kind of modern, waterside living.
Brick House homes, as you’d expect, are built with distinctive blended brick full of gorgeous textures and tones. Layouts are open and thoughtfully designed, with high ceilings, windows and glass doors to flood the homes with light. Upstairs there’s Juliet balconies with French doors, some with roof terraces, all positioned around a beautiful, large, residents garden.
With Town House you decide if you prefer loft living, with your living space on the top floor making the most of the pitched ceilings and elevated views, or garden living with your living space on the ground floor more traditionally. Bedrooms can be as vast or cosy as you need with 3 – 5 bedroom layouts; anything is possible. It’s your life, it’s your house, it’s your choice. Take a look inside our Town Houses at Port Loop below.
Feel connected to the city
Port Loop is nestled between Birmingham Canal Old Line and the Birmingham Canal, just a 15-minute walk from Birmingham city centre. Its island location was once the industrial heart of the city, so the tow paths that served its factories provide superb, direct routes to the city centre. You can go by foot or jump on a bike. You could even take the water bus.
With tranquil Edgbaston Reservoir five minutes to the north and buzzing Brindleyplace just 15 minutes away to the south, it really is brilliantly connected.
Place in the making
Creating our future neighbourhood
Port Loop has already created its first park; one acre of public open green space, welcomed its first residents and won a handful of awards for placemaking. The future neighbourhood has officially arrived and we can’t wait to show you around.
A place in history
Rich in industrial heritage
The arrival of the canal in 1769 transformed the city of Birmingham into the city of a thousand trades. Engineered by James Brindley, the canal followed the contours of the landscape and now forms the eastern boundary of the island that Port Loop calls home. Stroll down the scenic tow path to the city centre and you’ll walk through one of the powerhouses of the industrial revolution, its distinctive red brick buildings now enjoying a new lease of life as bars, businesses and cool places to eat.
