    Mon-Fri 7am to 4pm


    £10.06 p/h basic

    The role

    Maintain and manage tooling and machinery within our modular housing factory, ensuring that our machines are maintained in a safe manner and that the manufacturing stations have the tools and resources that they need.


    Ensuring all tooling is maintained in a safe working manner.

    Inspection of all guarding, extraction and attachments on relevant machinery.

    Responsible for carrying out blade changes in accordance with company and machinery processes.

    Responsible for monitoring blade usage and ordering stock.

    Responsible for recording, logging, tracking and maintaining records of all tools on the shop floor

    Undertake PAT Testing as and when required in line with company schedule

    General building maintenance and repairs for the site

    Assisting in the execution of statutory checks, i.e. Fire alarm, Fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc.

    Control of all skips and co-ordination or all waste management process both internally and with the waste management companies.

    Working closely and interact with Supervisors and operatives to ensure smooth execution of works

    Undertaking relevant training and development activities to respond positively to new and alternative systems of work.

    Experience, knowledge and kills

    Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing environment.

    Experience with the safe use of machinery, in particular Saws and blade changes.

    Experience of working with power tools.

    General building and maintenance works.

    Knowledge of writing execution of Safe Systems of Works and Risk Assessments

    Knowledge of statutory checks and relevant legislation

    Knowledge of 5S and C.I. processes and how this can impact on role

    Ability to train and engage others

    PC skills

    Attention to detail

    Good communication skills
