    Residential Consultant (Maternity Cover)

    The role

    Dealing with customer enquiries, letting and selling homes. Also supporting the wider Residential team.

    Hours of work

    Minimum of 37.5 hours – Working days would be Tuesday to Saturday.

    Head of Residential Asset Management & Residential Lettings Manager

    Liaise with

    — Purchasers
    — Tenants
    — Solicitors
    — Mortgage advisors
    — Surveyors
    — Agents
    — Group Staff

    Key responsibilities

    — Respond to sales & rental enquiries quickly and efficiently, in a polite and informative manner.

    — Maintaining excellent communication and customer service levels.

    — Ensure Key and Fob stocks are organised and maintained.

    — Qualify potential customers and ensure that all suitable homes are discussed.

    — Accompany potential purchasers & tenants on viewings of residential properties.

    — Build up knowledge of all schemes and availability.

    — Ensure that details of all visitors and enquiries are logged and followed up.

    — Working as part of the team to deliver sales & rentals targets.

    — As and when required assist with handover and demos with our customers on completion of their home.

    — Conduct Move ins/move outs as and when required, ensuring all the necessary paperwork is completed and documented.

    — Take responsibility for maintaining great customer and client relationships with a view to generating more loyalty business.

    — Other ad-hoc duties, when necessitated by the needs of the business.

    Qualifications

    — 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent)

    — Professional qualification from awarding body such as ARLA desirable.

    Experience

    — Proven experience in a residential letting and/or sales environment.

    — Experience of working to and meeting targets.

    Knowledge

    — An understanding of the residential lettings and estate agency business.

    — An understanding of shared ownership and shared equity.

    — A basic knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law desirable.

    — Knowledge of the conveyancing process desirable.

    Skills

    — Approachable with great customer care and communication skills - both written and oral.

    — Ability to work with minimum supervision and to use your initiative in a fast-paced environment.

    — Strong IT skills, specifically in using Microsoft Office.

    — Excellent organisational skills.

    — You must be enthusiastic and flexible with an interest in both sales and lettings. If your strengths are in one particular area, we will work with you to develop your knowledge across the two disciplines..
