    02 October 2020
A 8 minute read by Tom Bloxham

Welcome to our October edition of Newsplash - a monthly round-up of all things Urban Splash, featuring new homes, scheme launches, commercial news and much more.

This month, we officially introduce the sales suite of the future, our brand new House by Urban Splash Pavilion at Inholm, Northstowe in Cambridgeshire, where we've just launched brand new configurable Town Houses for sale. There's news from New Islington, where as well as the final homes for sale at Piercy Street, we've one another award (our 430th!) for regeneration. We're continuing our work at Port Loop in Birmingham with the launch of a new community hub, featuring a new 'art house' by MAIA and welcoming the Floating Front Room. In commercial news, we're onsite across the country creating more new spaces for food and drink brands within our award-winning workspaces. Read on to find out more.

The new House by Urban Splash Pavilion

Introducing the sales suite of the future

This striking new structure in Cambridgeshire is the House by Urban Splash pavilion. Designed using super sustainable CLT, the space offers an immersive brand experience for customers at Inholm, Northstowe, where our Town House homes are now on sale. It symbolises our belief in design and is the first point of contact for all of our customers. “The pavilion is part of our mission to do things differently” says our head of design Olly Wigglesworth.

The regeneration of New Islington in Manchester

    Another award for New Islington

New Islington has been named the country’s ‘best regeneration’ project at the Planning Awards. We’re transforming the central Manchester neighbourhood into somewhere filled with lots of green space, a Marina, an OFSTED-Outstanding school, amenities and our House by Urban Splash homes; judges praised the mix of housing types and strong sense of community. Find out more about the houses and apartments that we’re onsite creating – including the final remaining homes at Piercy Street where Help to Buy is also available.

New community hub opens at Port Loop

New community hub opens at Port Loop

We’ve welcomed two brilliant new additions at Port Loop in Birmingham. Sustainability group MAIA has set up a new ‘art house’ in one of our town house homes. Inside, there's a resident artists studio, and a community space for COVID-safe events like yoga classes and artist workshops. Port Loop has also welcomed the Floating Front Room; the first phase of civic square, its founders are passionate about bringing the Port Loop community together, serving teas and coffees to residents and visitors in the process. If you fancy being a part of Port Loop, you can buy one of our House by Urban Splash homes there now.

Suzy Jones joins House by Urban Splash

RIBA North Director Suzy Jones has joined our team

In our quest to help homeowners Live Well by Design™, we’ve appointed former Director of RIBA North, Suzy Jones, as director of a new division of House by Urban Splash dedicated to the future of how we live. A first for the industry, her role will help us explore the impact of technology, environmental change and demographic shifts on how we may want, and need, to live in the future.
