Hello and happy New Year from all at Urban Splash!
We’ve got a very exciting 12 months ahead of us with lots of new homes and workspaces being created across the country. We wanted to share a teaser with you of what’s coming up, take a look at the details below...
House moves
In 2018 The Times says we “led the way” with House by Urban Splash, and we were awarded ‘House of the Year’ by WhatHouse. In 2019 House is coming to Wirral Waters, Merseyside, Campbell Park in Milton Keynes and New Islington, where plans for more modular apartments and Town Houses will complete Manchester’s best new neighbourhood.
Our latest House product unveiled
New Islington will be home to the very first Mansion House, modular apartments taking design inspiration from the much loved converted Georgian terrace. Mansion House will feature small groups of eight to ten apartments with one shared entrance, so home owners can take ownership of their shared spaces, and get to know the neighbours. Commercial space will also be available in a number of units on the ground floor. More details coming soon!
Welcoming residents to Bristol's Copper Building
This summer we’ll hand over homes at Copper Building, completing our work at Lakeshore in South Bristol. The lucky homeowners will have 10 acres of private gardens with a running track, orchard, allotments and a lake to keep them busy for the rest of the year. A few homes remain for sale too – you can reserve yours here.
Transforming Melville at Royal William Yard
We recently announced that boutique cinema operator Everyman is moving into Melville – the imposing, central Grade I Listed building at the heart of Royal William Yard in Plymouth. We’re sensitively restoring it to create more leisure spaces, workspaces and opening up the courtyard to create more outdoor space.
Our first joint venture with Peel
We’re working with developers Peel for the first time in 2019, establishing a joint venture which will bring 347 of our modular homes to Merseyside as part of a residential quarter within the Wirral Waterside development. You can register your interest for the first homes now.
Completing works at Boat Shed
One of the first completions of the year will come at our Boat Shed in Salford Quays, where we’ve transformed the rundown 90s office block into a brilliant commercial community.
A growing neighbourhood at Smith's Dock
Following on from Town House and Fab House at Smith’s Dock in North Shields, the first residents moved in to our Smokehouses this month. There is plenty more to come in 2019; as well as completing the rest of Smokehouses (the final apartments are on sale now), we’ll also announce details of the first commercial spaces on the waterfront, and a programme of summer events.
