    Our 430th Award

    16 September 2020

Really pleased to see Urban Splash successfully challenge big name house builders this week at the (virtual!) Planning Awards; there, we won the Award for Regeneration - our 430th accolade, meaning we’ve now won on average 16 awards per year since we started out in business.

This particular award award was for our work in regenerating New Islington in Manchester, with judges praising the mix of housing types and strong sense of community created here.

We’ve been regenerating this area of Manchester for 20 years now, creating a brand new neighbourhood for Manchester. Once a rundown patch of land attracting anti-social behaviour, New Islington now features independent businesses, eateries, green spaces, a marina, an OFSTED ‘outstanding’ free school and a health centre.

We're bringing more new homes (and green space!) to New Islington

There are also hundreds of new homes and apartments - more than 30% of them affordable. Right now we’re on site putting the finishing touches to New Islington, with our Town House homes by New Islington Marina and our waterfront Mansion House apartments which offer dual aspect views across the city.
