All seven of the two-bedroom apartments at Chorlton Park offered by pioneering property developer Urban Splash sold out.
The scheme, a joint venture with Irwell Valley Housing Association was
designed by Stephenson Bell Architects and is located directly opposite
Chorlton Park and has won a RIBA (Royal Institute of British
Architects) award for Housing Design.
"Chorlton Park was a first for Urban Splash, a joint venture with
Irwell Valley Housing Association," said Fiona Woodward, sales and
marketing director, Urban Splash. "We are delighted at how popular the
scheme has proved to be and look forward to future collaborations of
this kind."
The 20 shared ownership one-bedroom apartments by Irwell Valley Housing Association have all been sold.
Urban Splash chairman, Tom Bloxham MBE, was on the selection committee
for the appointment of the architects. He was so impressed with
the scheme by Stephenson Bell that he instructed Urban Splash to buy
the seven higher value apartments that Irwell Valley Housing
Association couldn’t include in its shared ownership scheme.
Urban Splash then sold these apartments.
Urban Splash will be releasing the first phase of St Georges Walk, the
next development of its Britannia Basin scheme at Castlefield, for sale
off plan in the autumn. Designed by Glenn Howells, designers of
the very popular Timber Wharf scheme. The scheme includes 90
apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms.
